Do I need to use my real name and address?
Keep your privacy! Sell anonymously while Hot Goblin acts as your official shipping address. Your personal information will never be shared with buyers.
What kind of items can I sell?
Hot Goblin specializes in TRPG (Tabletalk Role-Playing Game) miniatures. We accept 3D models designed as gaming miniatures, as well as larger display figures and scatter terrain.
Can I upload a copyrighted character or someone else's work?
No. All work must be your own 100% original designs. We strictly prohibit the upload of fan-art, copyrighted characters, or anyone else's models.
How are payments handled?
We securely handle all customer payments. Your earnings can be withdrawn to your bank account at any time (subject to a 100 JPY transfer fee), or they will be automatically transferred to you every 90 days with no fee. Note: You must have a Japanese bank account to become a Guest Artist.
What happens if a print breaks in the mail or there is a complaint?
We handle 100% of the customer service. If a miniature is damaged in transit or a customer has an issue, the Hot Goblin support team will take care of it entirely.
Who owns the rights to my models?
You do! You retain 100% of the copyright and intellectual property rights to your creations. You are simply allowing Hot Goblin to physically print and fulfill the orders on your behalf.
How is the price decided?
Hot Goblin sets a base Manufacturing Fee (to cover printing, resin, and shipping). You then set your own Artist Profit on top of that fee. The total is the price the customer pays.
Am I allowed to sell my 3D files (STLs) on other sites?
Yes! We do not demand exclusivity. You are free to sell your digital STL files on Patreon, MyMiniFactory, BOOTH, or anywhere else.
Do I need to provide renders of my products?
No, you only need to provide the 3D data (STL files). Hot Goblin will automatically generate professional renders of your product in all of our available resin colors, as well as a full-color preview image for your product page.
Will customers be allowed to generate character art using my models?
That's completely up to you! When you list an item, you can choose whether or not to make your product eligible for our Character Art Generator tool.
What if I want to stop selling a product?
You have complete control over your store and can unpublish or stop selling your products at any time. Please note that any orders placed before you stopped selling the item will still be manufactured and shipped to the customer.
How do you handle sales and promotions for Guest Artist items?
We take the hit! All site-wide sales and promotions are deducted directly from our Manufacturing and Fulfillment Fee. Your set Artist Profit will always remain the same, regardless of any sales or discounts offered on the site.
